Google Authorship and The Disrupted Search Paradigm

So much hype about SEO but most of us should focus on content and that means authorities on a given subject. The obsession with privacy and the desire for anonymity as a consequence partly of Snowden and NSA and GCHQ etc concerns, whether founded or not, are somewhat in conflict with our self-publishing culture. Never mind the platform, without a digital profile, identity, gravitas and reputation to be anonymous may well mean as per Eric Schmidt to be irrelevant, at least online.

This article neatly sums-up why like it or not your authors profile is important if you publish online, or want to connect and share and be taken seriously in a given field, is that really so surprising. Its not just link authority now its the cluster of authors you attract.
